1500 Trees for Life is an inspiring way to care for this place we call home. We aim to plant 1500 healthy, native trees in public spaces throughout Licking County in the next five years.
In 2019, leaders of First Presbyterian Church of Granville embraced something new: an idea to engage this community in the process of planting trees, thereby adding beauty and life for generations to come while also caring for and serving as stewards of our environment. Trees not only provide shade, oxygen, and beauty, they also are excellent at sequestering carbon dioxide, the major greenhouse gas contributing to climate change. Learn more about how trees can help our community and environment.
You can join us by donating toward planting these trees! You may choose to select the location, and even attend the planting. If you are looking for a memorable gift, consider donating a tribute tree in honor or in memory of someone special in your life.

1500 Trees for Life is organized by the First Presbyterian Church of Granville (Ohio). As a certified Earthcare Congregation, we are committed to protecting and restoring the earth so that it will be sustainable for all life and future generations. Our certification is made possible by earth care activities in the areas of worship, education, facilities, and outreach. We are excited to work in partnership with others in the Licking County community to plant life-sustaining, native trees in public areas throughout the county.
